QVI Vacay

QVI Vacay was was developed as a membership portal for existing Vacay members to redeem hotel stays across Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai other Southeast Asian regions. The project infrastructure was setup on AWS Cloud using EC2s and load balancers. Part of the scope of works included the upgrade of the existing platform from PHP7.4 to PHP8 and also integrating new processes to optimize API calls for best performance.

A SUMMARY OF THIS PROJECT

The client was happy with the overall migration of the site from a managed server to a cloud AWS server with better traffic management. However, during the course of the project our team faced challenges where the server did crash due to excessive loads at odd hours. We had to implement a IP throttle restriction to prevent this and also place a load balancer for overcoming the downtime issue. It was a learning experience for both us and the client.
